CHRISTINE PARKER

Having returned to West Yorkshire after an absence of over 40 years, I find myself being immersed in this inspirational, diverse, and frequently changing landscape that I now surround myself in. Over the years I have sketched and painted, often on holiday, but I now have time to develop my artistic ideas to a greater depth.

I draw in pencil, pastels, conte crayon, charcoal, felt pens, … anything I can get my hands on. For paint my preference is watercolour, although I am becoming more familiar with acrylics. I love that moment when I make that first mark on the paper, that sense of exploration and possible discovery. I often draw and paint outside and now I can bring those sketches into a studio environment and develop my ideas further.
