YORKSHIRE ARTISTS EXPLORING THEIR CREATIVITY

SC 2.jpeg

LIFE DRAWING WITH REDBRICK ARTISTS

Life drawing is a regular and important feature of our studio practice.  We use a fantastic cohort of experienced life models who bring their own unique qualities to the shared creative experience. They provide a mix of long and short poses.

These aren’t taught sessions, but the artists participating have developed a very supportive environment over many years.

We take time to engage with each others work; learning from each other and being inspired by each other's approaches, choices of materials and imaginative responses. The work we produce is all so different yet all comes from a common sense of commitment to observe and respond to our model in our own unique way, in the moment.

We are a dynamic group, interested in creative development and welcoming of new members.

The studio provides easels, drawing boards and a ‘pool’ of shared materials but you may want to bring your own  favourite materials. Paper is available to be purchased.

Sessions are held twice a month, usually on the second and fourth Friday of the month. The dates are indicated on the wejoinin sign up sheet. Times are 10 am until 3.00 pm with a break of an hour for lunch.

Tea and coffee are provided but please bring your own lunch.

Cost is £20 for the day for non members and £15 for members. This should be paid on the day in CASH only, please.

Please see the Contact Us page to enquire and we will send you a link to our wejoinin sheet.
